Jiang Jiuli is a Fighter Esper who becomes stronger the more damage he takes. Sky Smash consumes his own HP to attack an enemy. The lower the HP percentage he has left, the higher the damage. Earth Shatter taunts all enemies and also consumes his own HP to attack them. The lower the HP percentage he has left, the higher the damage. Demon Reborn enables Jiang Jiuli to share single-target damage directed at his allies (not in Demon Mode). The lower his HP percentage, the greater ability bonuses he gains. Jiang Jiuli does not fear death. When taking lethal damage, he enters Demon Mode, becoming uncontrollable and dealing massive damage to random enemies. When Demon Mode expires, he transforms back to his original form.

Wouldn’t his demon mode make him having sword avatara not the best considering he can’t counterattack while in demon mode?
Why hp% on relics? That just makes the bonus damage take longer to stack up. Wouldn’t Demon mode be too weak as well?
