David is an offensive Esper with strong taunting and dispel abilities.
David can clear himself of debuffs and taunt a random enemy before acting and upon being struck. His Curtain Call will launch multiple attacks against a single enemy, each of which steals a buff and ends with a brief stun and AP knockback.

Then launches a finishing strike, dealing damage equal to 85% of ATK while Stunning the target for 1 turn. Each stolen buff empowers the finishing strike to reduce the target’s AP by 30%.

I personally prefer to put tank stats (HP %, DEF% RES ), SPD, and ACC on him, kinda like Gabrielle. with Wind Walker and any secondary sets you need stats from. Apollo’s for more ACC, Master Grove for HP, etc., etc.
I feel it works a lot better than building damage and he turns into a decent controller/defender.
David is great at stripping off the buffs from Dark Star Lord in the first phase if you do not have a Biondina.
